New season is here!

Updated: Sep 29, 2019

Our 2019 / 2020 event season is just around the corner kicking off with what is the first of 4 total working dog weekends at Camp Koinonia in 2019

October 5-6, 2019, Fall Warm Up fun weekend of running dogs all over and you are NOT obligated to run the races courses! mix it up! Do a night run. Go out to the fish ladder. Have fun!

October 19-20, 2019, PNW Dryland Championships and Fall Meeting

November 2-3, 2019, Camp K Dryland Challenge

November 9-10th Iron Paws, Sponsored by K9 Scooters NW

January 11-12, 2020, Dogtown Winter Derby, Camp Koinonia (on snow event)

OK, now that you see the long list of Camp Koinonia events, keep in mind, this is a lot for a small club where members come from all over the state. We run on a very slim volunteer crew and these races are held with minimal help. It is up to you to learn the course. It is up to you to know your start time and get to the chute in order. Sometimes someone is available to help. Ask if you need assistance. There will be minimal help out on the course, so plan accordingly.

Also, one of the really fun aspects to our events are the social times held around the campfire on Friday and Saturday nights. There is usually a dinner potluck and please bring a dish to share. We are usually well stocked with chips and Safeway cookies, so please try another item. At the end of the meal, we NEED TO CLEAN UP! Your mother does not work here. Please take burnables to the fire and recyclables home. Pack up your potluck items at the end of the night and take back to your camp (we try to keep the mouse population down). Camp does provide garbage service and garbage cans are nearby. If a can is filled, please change it out.

Consider bringing your own washable plates, utensils and drinking cups. Just pack a bag to transport dirty dishes back home. Its easy.

Please read the Event Venue / Camp Koinonia page for all Camp information.

Looking forward to lots of happy dogs and fun people. See you soon!
