June 10, 2023 Banquet and Awards Meeting
The 2022-2023 NWSDA Awards Banquet will be held on
Saturday, June 10th, 12pm
at
Los Cabos in North Bend
580 SW Mt. Si Blvd, North Bend.
This is our end of the season get together, so please come and enjoy each other's company, sharing stories over good food. Even if you are not in the running for a Championship Award or Memorial Award, come on over and join your NWSDA tribe. The 2023-2024 Executive Board will be announced, which reminds me to remind you to:

Today, we honored our Seniors with their personalized purple scarf, and recognized our Rainbow Bridge pals on another beautiful wind chime designed by Karla Boyle. This is the third one she has created, which also honored Larry. They will be in view at our events next season.

Spring Cool Down
Please reserve your spot for this weekend. Teri and Rory will fire up the grill about 5:30 Saturday for anyone who wishes to cook something, and will have a fire going as well.

Camping funds go to NWSDA, so please pay at the pay station, if you do not reserve online. The Frolicks will be on site all weekend and will help anyone with questions. They will have the grill ready to go Saturday evening around 5:30 for those who wish to grill up some dinner. Also, a fire in the fire pit.
Sunday, at noon, we will honor our Seniors and our Rainbow Bridge Dogs.

Joe Loveless Spring Celebration,
Camp Koinonia
Note from our club President;
Due to weather and unsafe trail conditions at Camp Koinonia, the Joe Loveless Memorial Celebration Race is canceled for this year.
Instead, we will focus on the Cool Down, coming up in May. This event will host the Parade of Seniors and Rainbow Bridge Memorial.
Parade of Seniors is open to all member's sled dogs, ten years and older. Please send those dog's names to me by April 30th. susanlscofield@gmail.com In addition to receiving their scarf, the dogs walk the Parade of Honor and have their name announced over the PA. Huzzah!
Rainbow Bridge Memorial honors all member's dogs that have crossed the Bridge in this past year. Those names, date of birth and death go to Karla Boyle. Closing date on that is also April 30th. karlaandjourney@gmail.com Karla creates a beautiful rainbow wind chime, in memory of our missing friends, that hangs at Camp K.
